2019 New York Film Critics Circle Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features 2018 New York Film Critics Circle Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Lovely ladies stepped out at the 2019 New York Film Critics Circle Awards, joining Naomi Watts and Elsie Fisher.

Regina King: The ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ actress was the definition of feminine sophistication in Michael Kors Collection. The subtle glinting pink fabric highlights the flawless tailoring and its flattering cut.

Marina de Tavira: She projected refined elegance in Rebecca de Ravenel Fall 2018. Unfortunately, the creamy style lost some of its finesse because of the creases and the fit seems a bit off. I’m unsure about what is going on with the skirt but it’s not sitting right.

The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

It was a jam-packed red carpet at The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on Saturday (January 5) in Los Angeles, California, with 18 more more ladies joining Thandie Newton,  Emma StoneKiki LayneGemma Chan and Laura Harrier.

Emily Blunt: I was at first swept away by the beautiful Oscar de la Renta Pre Fall 2019 tulle polka dot dress, then I fell more in love with this look when I got to the yellow sandals.

Rachel Brosnahan: The colour of this weekend for Rachel was yellow. You were slightly underwhelmed by her Golden Globes offering, so how does this Christian Siriano Spring 2019 embellished sheath fare? The look was beautifully styled with yellow and gold Malone Souliers ‘Maureen’ pumps.

Rosamund Pike: It looks like the Pike x Givenchy union has a lot more to offer, and you’ll find me complaining following her Golden Globes outing and this flouncy Spring 2019 asymmetric dress. The only thing missing from this union is some colour every once in a while, as I’m worried this might hit a Rooney Mara “always black” brick wall. Pierre Hardy ‘Gena’ sandals completed her look.

2019 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features 2019 Golden Globe Awards

As you know we always do a final sweep of the red carpet before we close an event. Here are the gorgeous ladies we just had to feature from the 2019 Golden Globe Awards.

Olivia Colman: Grossly underrated, the British actress collected her Best Actress – Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for ‘The Favorite’ wearing Stella McCartney. Her split sleeves dress isn’t groundbreaking, but it was perfectly suited to her laidback, no-fuss style, with a touch of embellishment to mark the glamorous occasion. David Morris jewelry completed her look.

Marina de Tavira: The ‘Roma’ star stays firmly on my one-to-watch list with this gorgeous iridescent Vivienne Westwood Couture gown. I’m not sure this one will go down well with the majority thanks to the sheerness of the skirt, but this gets a thumbs up from me. Irene Neuwirth jewels completed her look.

2019 AFI Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon Features 2019 AFI Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 2019 AFI Awards was a packed house with several more ladies taking to the red carpet this afternoon (January 4), to receive their accolades.

Elsie Fisher: This young lady never fails to put a smile on my face. Yet to don a dress on the red carpet this calendar year, I’m wondering if that will change for the Globes on Sunday. Her signature trousered style was looking very bright in this M Missoni Resort 2019 outfit, which was of course styled with her other signature: a Kate Spade New York bag.

Emma Stone: While I was tempted to say, “thank you, next”, to this Louis Vuitton Spring 2019 look, when I paused to take a moment, this look isn’t actually so bad. What lets it down are the black slingbacks. I wish she’s opted for the ‘Overnight Cross’ sandals, but thankful she didn’t go for the LV Archlight boots.

Keri Russell: Dressed in Dior, I found myself a little underwhelmed by this offering. Usually I’m mesmerized by Keri on the red carpet, but I’m not getting any goosebumps today.

2019 Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features 2019 Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala

There were many more gorgeous ladies who joined Emily Blunt, Laura Harrier, Regina King and Emma Stone on the red carpet for the 2019 Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Gala on Thursday (January 3) in California.

Glenn Close: The actress opted to keep things simple and elegant in her INGIE Paris black wrap jumpsuit styled with Cartier jewels, Christian Louboutin’s ‘Yasling’ slingbacks and ‘Palmette’ clutch.

Yalitza Aparicio: Ezra Miller deservedly picked up the best newcomer of 2018, but my runner up was Yalitza, because like me she loves colour, and usually prints, but on this occasion she kept things simple,  yet bold in this red custom Adeam tuxedo dress. I love how the chiffon skirt provides an interesting, more feminine balance to the structure of everything up top.

Linda Cardellini: The actress was definitely projecting a summery mood in her Monique Lhuillier Spring 2019 butterfly guipure lace strapless bell skirt dress. Dainty, but not twee, the look was styled with APM Monaco jewels and a Tyler Ellis Lee pouchet.

Yalitza Aparicio Martínez In Novis & Marina De Tavira In Alberta Ferretti – Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Yalitza Aparicio Martínez In Novis & Marina De Tavira In Alberta Ferretti - Jimmy Kimmel Live

Yalitza Aparicio Martínez and Marina de Tavira have been busy promoting ‘Roma.’ They visited ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Wednesday (December 19) in Los Angeles, California and showcased their fashion credentials.

Yalitza Aparicio Martínez: She has shown her fondness for a feminine dress and this Novis Spring 2018 look plays into that. It’s a textural delight and has a vivacious freshness that can make you forget what time of the year it is.

Marina de Tavira: Instead of coordinating with her costar, the Mexican actress went for glistening glamour in Alberta Ferretti Spring 2018 trousers. She took inspiration from the runway and styled the pants with a powder blue top. Hers was a more conservative option with its high neckline, but the sheer fabric had the right allure.

‘Roma’ Mexico City Premiere

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon Features 'Roma' Mexico City Premiere

Latin beauties, Yalitza Aparicio and Marina de Tavira returned home for the Mexico City premiere of their Netflix film ‘Roma’ on Monday (December 17).

The actress used the occasion to showcase their nations pride by both wearing looks from Latin designer; Sandra Weil.

Yalitza Aparicio: The Vogue Mexico cover star wore Tiffany blue Sandra Weil gown with a detailed bodice providing the most interest, along with her Alexis Bittar jewels

Marina de Tavira: Having worn many gowns during this promo tour, the actress looked gorgeous wearing a Sandra Weil jumpsuit. I love this shade of cerulean blue, but I’m not entirely sure about the embroidered cape. It’s beautiful, but my initial feeling is that she’s wearing two different looks. It would’ve worked better for me if the jumpsuit had also been navy.
