Daisy Edgar-Jones’ Six New York ‘Sense and Sensibility’ Looks

Daisy Edgar-Jones has been on a monumental fashion run, and I’m happy to continue shouting that from the rooftops as we break down the six looks she served up during her New York press appearances this week while promoting Sense and Sensibility.

Chloé With A Vintage Twist

Following her two archival Chloé looks, Daisy returned to the French fashion house, but don’t let the fitted silhouette, floral print or frilled lace collar fool you. Despite looking like something that could have come straight from a Victorian wardrobe, this top is actually from the Fall 2025 collection.

The sheer black skirt gives the romantic blouse a contemporary edge, while the oversized black belt with its double gold buckles gives this look that classic Chloé feel. I love how the contrast stops this from becoming another entirely period-inspired look.

Corsetry Meets Denim

Here we have another period-leaning corset, but the asymmetrical peplum and blue jeans bring this look right up to date.

This is easily in my top five looks from her entire press tour. The silhouette is breathtaking, particularly the way the lace corset flares out from the waist. And pairing something so romantic with everyday denim is exactly the kind of contrast I enjoy seeing from Daisy.

The neutral pumps were also a smart choice, allowing the corset to remain the focus.

Here Comes The Bride

This off-the-shoulder white dress was just a little too bridal for me.

Between the fitted bodice, scalloped detailing and white pumps, I can practically hear the wedding march playing in my head. It fits beautifully within the Jane Austen world, and I can’t fault the silhouette, but this is not quite what I wanted from Daisy on this tour.

It’s a lovely dress it must be said.

Galliano And Denim

A John Galliano jacket with blue jeans might sound like a simple combination, but there’s nothing ordinary about the tailoring here.

The sculpted waist, exaggerated collar and angular hem give the jacket a distinctly romantic feel, while the denim makes it entirely wearable. I also love the little black choker, which feels perfectly suited to the jacket’s historical references.

The metallic strappy sandals are another welcome change from the pumps we’ve seen throughout this press tour.

Burberry Blue

Daisy continued her denim streak with a navy-blue Burberry trench jacket, styled with jeans, and the brand’s black Bridle saddle bag.

The shorter, double-breasted silhouette is a refreshing alternative to the classic trench coat, and the rich blue works beautifully with the denim.

Another Archival Romance

Daisy returned to the archives for this Rodarte Spring 2017 dress, delivering one of the most romantic looks of her Sense and Sensibility press tour so far.

The delicate lace, intricate embroidery and sheer panels capture the romance of Jane Austen’s world, while the cape-like train trailing behind her adds a dreamy, almost ethereal quality. I especially love how the delicate ruffles frame the bodice, with the sheer sections offering a more sensual interpretation of period dressing.

And can we talk about the hair? The soft waves, wispy fringe and half-up styling couldn’t be more perfectly matched to the dress. Even the gold strappy sandals feel like a natural extension of the look.

This is the kind of fashion storytelling I’ve loved seeing from Daisy throughout this press tour, and I’m hoping there’s still more to come.

With six looks with some offering different interpretations of the same literary theme, Daisy continues to make this one of my favourite press tours of the year.

Which look stands out for you?
