Emma D’Arcy Mixes Tailoring and Denim for ‘Digger’

Emma D’Arcy joined their co-star Sandra Hüller for the Los Angeles premiere of Digger last night.

We’ve talked a lot about Emma’s ability to keep finding new ways to approach tailoring, and they did it again with this Dries Van Noten Spring 2027 look from the menswear collection.

The juxtaposition of the smooth cream shawl-collar jacket and bleached jeans shouldn’t necessarily work, but that contrast is exactly what makes this so good. The jacket has all the refinement you would expect from evening tailoring, while the jeans make the look feel much more reflective of Emma’s personal style. They have always approached tailoring on their own terms, and this is another example of how naturally they can make menswear feel like their own.

The jacket is admittedly oversized, so the peach belt literally pulls the look together while giving the silhouette some shape. The blue shoes were another great choice, picking up the colour of the denim without being an obvious match.

This is cool without looking like Emma tried to make it cool. So much so that an Armani-clad Tom Cruise appeared to stop and show his appreciation on the red carpet.
