Joey King Continues Her Miu Miu Streak for ‘Practical Magic 2’

Joey King joined her co-stars for the Practical Magic 2 London photocall this morning.

We’ve established the patterns of this press tour pretty quickly. Maisie Williams looks set to continue paying homage to Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman is staying loyal to Chanel, and Joey appears committed to Miu Miu – specifically, see-through Miu Miu.

Because much like last night, Joey really wants us to see her underwear, and that was achieved once again with this lace Miu Miu top and skirt from the Spring 2026 collection.

There are elements I prefer here compared to the runway. Removing the layers at the neckline and waist gives the lace more room to register, while the floor-length skirt works better for a the mood of this photocall. But even with those changes, I’m still missing Joey’s old style.

This is someone who used to be ahead of everyone else. She was one of the earliest celebrities to champion Robert Wun, long before his designs became a red carpet fixture, and her press tours could take us through completely different moods from one appearance to the next. You never quite knew what Joey was going to wear, and that unpredictability was a major part of her appeal.

That’s what feels absent now. The Miu Miu ambassador/friend of house relationship may give her wardrobe consistency, but it has also narrowed the range we used to get from her. Two sheer Miu Miu looks in less than 24 hours only underline that feeling.

I want old Joey King back. I miss the fashion risk-taker who made each appearance feel like a moment. This feels too generic for her, and will become stale very quickly.
