Maisie Williams Raids Sandra Bullock’s Red Carpet Archive Again

Maisie Williams continued to pay homage to her co-star Sandra Bullock at the Practical Magic 2 London photocall this morning.

After referencing Sandra’s 1999 Forces of Nature LA premiere look at the London premiere, Maisie went directly into her co-star’s red carpet archive, wearing the vintage dress Sandra wore to the 2006 New York premiere of Infamous.

The dress has clearly been tailored for Maisie, creating a closer fit through the bodice and a more defined silhouette while retaining the draping and long train of Sandra’s original look.

I also like how Maisie made the dress her own with the jewellery. A mix of vintage necklaces, a Simuero silver choker, Martina Kocianova black ring, vintage coin-purse ring, Awe Inspired moon earrings and a bracelet shifted the styling away from a straightforward recreation. The dress may be Sandra’s, but the accessories are unmistakably Maisie.

I’m sure the rest of this tour will give us more throwback moments like this. Maisie appears fully committed to celebrating Sandra’s fashion history, and with more than three decades of red carpet appearances to explore, there is plenty of material left in the archive.
