Lupita Nyong’o Wore Carolina Herrera To ‘The Odyssey’ New York After-Party

So, just as I wrapped up Lupita Nyong’o’s The Odyssey press tour, a new look has emerged.

We saw Samantha Morton’s after-party look following the New York premiere, but Lupita’s had remained under wraps until now.

The actress was spotted heading into the celebration wearing a Carolina Herrera Resort 2026 mini dress embroidered with intricate gold motifs against a black base.

The intricate embroidery has an ornamental quality that recalls the decorative friezes and motifs associated with ancient Greek art. That may not have been the collection’s inspiration, but in the context of The Odyssey, it felt like a fitting visual connection.

If you’re wondering whether this really is from The Odyssey after-party, the giveaway is the jewellery.

Lupita kept on the Sabyasachi pearl choker with its sculptural pendant, the same striking necklace she wore on the red carpet with her Nicholas Oakwell Couture lace gown.

And finally, the footwear.

We’ve made much ado about Lupita’s shoe choices throughout this press tour – and many others – so I was pleased to see her finish this look with metallic gold sandals. They echoed the embroidery perfectly.
