Zendaya Wore John Galliano To The ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ London Photocall
Spider-Man: Brand New Day touched down in London this afternoon on another sweltering day in the capital.

And it appears that Law Roach is leaning fully into the spiderweb references now. Much like Zendaya’s archival look in Rome, she wore another vintage piece, this time selecting a John Galliano Spring 1997 dress from the designer’s Circus collection.
I had been waiting for more images from this photocall because the only photographs released initially showed the back of the dress.

I understand why. The spiderweb of charms draped across the open back is undoubtedly the money shot, but it appears that the event was covered in-house by Marvel, while other agencies only captured these candid images of Zendaya leaving the venue.
The result is slightly frustrating, because how can you stage an entire photocall and still come away without a proper image of the front of the dress?
So thank god for this video, where we get to fully appreciate why this archival choice works so well. The celestial print, scattered with stars and constellations, introduces another subtle Spider-Man reference, as the character famously operates after dark.
I know some are rolling their eyes and saying, “Not another spiderweb motif,” but it does continue the thread that has connected this press tour from the beginning: fashion choices that nod to the character and the world around him.
At this point, the question is not whether Law Roach will reference Spider-Man, but how many more spiderweb dresses he can pull from the archives.
Tiffany & Co. jewels completed her look.

The official pictures have now been released, and this is easily one of the best looks of the press tour, if not the best.
