Meryl Streep Wore McQueen On Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Meryl Streep made a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in Los Angeles continuing the sharply tailored direction that has defined much of her The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour wardrobe.

The actress wore a custom McQueen look featuring a double-breasted black-and-white pinstripe jacket with a sculpted pleated hourglass waist, paired with coordinating tailored trousers and a flame-red shirt.

There is something so effective about the simplicity of this look. The sharp tailoring, exaggerated proportions, and rich red shirt instantly tap into the commanding energy we associate with Miranda Priestly. The pinstripes keep the look classic, while the nipped-in silhouette gives the tailoring a more fashion-forward edge.

I also love that she resisted over-accessorising. The brooch, slingback heels, and signature glasses were all this look needed.

Meryl was the unexpected fashion MVP of this press tour.
