Teyana Taylor Wore Ashi Studio Couture To The 2026 Billboard Women In Music
Teyana Taylor, who performed her song “Bed of Roses” with Wale at the Billboard Women in Music ceremony, also accepted the Visionary Award from Dionne Warwick.

It should come as no surprise that Teyana’s post-awards-season style continues to impress, because the standard was already set long before. The actress-singer has been operating at a consistently high level for years; we’re simply seeing it play out more frequently on major stages.
This Ashi Studio Spring 2026 Couture look may feel familiar, as Teyana has already pulled from this collection for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Where that previous outing leaned into a more wrapped, almost mummification-like effect, this look shifts into something more sculptural and expressive.
The ivory corset, hand-painted in an 18th-century tradition to resemble aged cloth with hair embroidery across the bodice, creates a striking focal point with its abstract motifs, evoking the feel of a preserved textile or heirloom piece. It’s paired with a hand-painted silk tulle skirt that flares into an unravelled, rust-toned hem, giving the look a weathered, almost timeworn finish that contrasts with the precision of the corsetry.
The satin lace-up shoes enhance that narrative. They extend the visual language of the look, reinforcing its mood in a way the simple brown pumps on the runway never quite achieved.
Stylists: Wayman Bannerman and Micah Mcdonald.
