Jessie Buckley Wore Chanel To ‘The Bride!’ New York Premiere
Jessie Buckley was back on the red carpet for The Bride! attending the New York premiere on Tuesday following the SAG Awards.
To say I have been desperate to see this Chanel Pre-Fall 2026 look on the red carpet is an understatement. I had always imagined this look on someone like Lupita Nyong’o or Tracee Ellis Ross. But I am not mad that it landed on Jessie, because it once again underscores how she has maintained that fashion middle ground we were hoping she would settle into.
The look strikes a satisfying balance between restraint and drama. The fitted knit top keeps the upper half clean, allowing the skirt with its painterly green tones, scattered spots and soft feathered edges to do all the talking. It has volume, texture and personality, but never overwhelms her.
Styled with Chanel earrings and the Lion Solaire de Chanel ring, I honestly do not miss the necklace we saw on the runway. Mostly because the skirt carries the entire look on its own. Jessie has never been a statement jewellery kind of girl. The statement has always been the clothes, and this approach keeps the styling crisp and uncluttered.
Had this been worn by Tracee Ellis Ross, as I originally imagined, I would have expected the necklace, because she leans into a more is more philosophy on the red carpet. But on Jessie, the simplicity works.
