The actress wore a Valentino Fall 2025 gown that sits somewhere between poetic and perplexing.
The look embodies Alessandro Michele’s romantic yet experimental touch — soft lilac satin, a sculpted plunging neckline drenched in chartreuse embellishments, and a trailing antique lace train that feels wistful. On paper, it’s a showstopper.
However, in execution, the harmony between these components doesn’t quite land. The chartreuse top, punctuated by a black satin bow, feels too harsh against the delicacy of the pastel base. The colour-blocking — while bold — interrupts the gown’s natural flow and makes it difficult for the eye to settle, while the train feels somewhat random. It’s as though three different ideas were fighting for dominance: romantic, retro, and subversive.
That said, Odessa’s understated beauty look and quietly confident demeanour are doing their best to sell this to me — which may surprise you. It’s one of those red carpet moments where you appreciate the intention, the artistry, and the daring, even if the end result doesn’t completely cohere.
