Kate Hudson Wore Lanvin To The 2026 Oscar Nominees Luncheon
Kate Hudson, who is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Oscars for her performance in Song Sung Blue, marking her second Academy Award nomination and her first in a leading category, attended the Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon on Tuesday in LA, following her red carpet appearance at the 2026 DGA Awards. This is her first nomination in this category since her supporting nod in 2001 for Almost Famous.

On this occasion, she wore Peter Copping’s Lanvin Pre-Fall 2026 red sleeveless draped dress.
The foundation here is strong. I like the dress; the belt works, and there is a certain charm to the Lanvin black-and-white slingback pumps. The sharp contrast of the shoes gives the look a subtle graphic edge. But the leather gloves are killing the vibe.

Perhaps if they had been sleek satin and properly tailored, rather than baggy and reminiscent of someone working in pharmaceutical manufacturing or handling forensics at a crime scene, they might have worked.
As it stands, they don’t look elegant. They overpower the simplicity of the dress, and the David Webb ring does little to elevate their presence.

And who wears leather gloves to a luncheon? They feel unnecessary and heavy-handed.
