Cynthia Erivo Wore Balenciaga To The 2026 Critics’ Circle Film Awards
On Sunday, while the Grammy Awards were taking place in Los Angeles, Cynthia Erivo was in London attending the 2026 Critics’ Circle Film Awards, where she received the Derek Malcolm Award for Innovation.

It was a significant night for the multi-hyphenate star, as she was also announced as a Grammy winner for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Defying Gravity while in London.
The singer wore her second custom Balenciaga gown, designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli inspired by his debut Spring 2026 collection.

This design is loosely linked to her Balenciaga look from the Wicked: For Good New York premiere, on account of the feather-like detailing seen from the back.
Colour-wise, this also continues a recent shift. While black dominated much of her Wicked press tour, brown has taken over and has quietly become her strongest red carpet hue. We first saw it when she wore Danielle Frankel to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, and once more here, it proves how well the colour works against her skin tone.
Where the New York premiere look leaned darker and more intense, this version softened the approach, allowing texture, shape, and colour to carry the moment without that Wicked force.
Marli New York jewellery completed the look.
Stylist: Jason Bolden.
