Emilia Clarke’s New York Press Tour Style for ‘Ponies’
Emilia Clarke has been in New York promoting her Peacock spy thriller television series Ponies, and the press tour has given us range. Some looks feel considered, with one look standing far above the rest.

All About the Coat
This leather Altuzarra Spring 2026 trench coat is doing everything, and that is exactly the point. The oval Karen Wazen Noor sunglasses, Savette Symmetry clutch, and simple black pumps are there in a support capacity only. When outerwear is this strong, the smartest move is letting it lead.

Quiet Wealth Energy
This white Loro Piana cashmere coat styled with Saint Laurent tan leather boots had the potential to feel complete, but the black Hermès Kelly bag lets it down. A tan Hermès Kelly bag would have made far more sense here. Still, the overall direction is clear, and the coat remains the strongest element of the look.

Ivory, All the Way Through
Under the coat, the softness continues. A Lisa Yang cashmere cardigan and a The Row wrap skirt extend the quiet wealth energy established by the outerwear, keeping the look, and the mood, consistent.

Soft Focus Daywear
The charcoal knit with a dark Saint Laurent skirt is understated to the point of fading into the background. There is nothing wrong here, it reads as functional and aligns perfectly with her radio interview on SiriusXM.

Better on Someone Else
I liked this The Row Anitas draped dress on Julianne Moore, but I am not sold on it for Emilia. Here, it reads too mature, but that could just be my bias kicking in, as I feel the dress sat better on Julianne. A Chaumet Bee de Chaumet necklace and simple black pumps complete the look.

The One That Commits
Emilia’s Loro Piana Fall 2025 all-black look is the clear standout. The headscarf changes the tone entirely, calling to mind late-nineties arthouse cinema and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy–era New York. The Savette Symmetry clutch reinforces the mood. This is the look that feels fully realised.
Alongside her, Haley Lu Richardson took the opposite approach, wearing a vintage Roberto Cavalli Spring 2003 printed skirt suit with clear Asian influences, from the cherry blossom motifs to the kimono style florals and rooster imagery. Maximal, graphic, and unapologetic, it was a sharp contrast to Emilia’s minimism and a reminder that press-tour dressing works best when personality leads the choices.
