Celebrities at the ‘Emily In Paris’ Season 5 Paris Premiere
The Emily In Paris Season 5 premiere took over Paris last night, bringing out a full cast lineup alongside Lily Collins and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu. As expected, the red carpet was a mix of glamour, nostalgia, and a few styling choices that raised eyebrows. Some leaned into tried-and-tested formulas, others took bigger swings, and not all of them landed.

Dated, Unfortunately
As much as I applaud Ashley Park for staying loyal to her aesthetic, this Dolce & Gabbana dress was a miss for me. The brand used it’s own archives for inspiration, but the silhouette and detailing felt stuck in the past in a way that wasn’t charming, just dated. I’m genuinely surprised an established house delivered something that felt so out of step with the moment. Chopard jewellery added sparkle, but it wasn’t enough to save the overall look.

Archive Done Right
If you’re going to be inspired by the archives, this is how it’s done. Minnie Driver’s vintage Giorgio Armani Fall 1998 black silk column gown, fully embroidered with silver sequins, was timeless and elegant without trying too hard. This was a reminder that some archival pieces don’t age at all. Seeing Armani’s past and present coexist so effortlessly on this carpet was beautiful to see. This is one of Minnie’s strongest red carpet moments in years.

Back On Track
I’m relieved to report that Lucas Bravo has returned to his suave roots. That hobo phase did him no favours, but this tailored white blazer and black trousers combination from Brioni worked beautifully. I’ve officially dropped my resistance to this pairing in 2025, and Lucas is another reason why. The cummerbund, vest, and brooch amplified the elegance.

Velvet Confidence
Leaning into rich textures and classic tailoring Lucien Laviscount wore Dolce & Gabbana. The look struck the perfect balance between classic and current.

Lapels Doing The Work
Paul Forman’s Balmain Resort 2026 suit relied heavily on its sparkling houndstooth lapels to carry the look. While the detailing caught the eye, the fit let it down, which is frustrating. Tiffany & Co. jewellery completed the look.
