Hayley Atwell Wore Erdem For The Covent Garden Christmas Lights Switch-On
Thousands gathered to watch Hayley Atwell switch on the Covent Garden Christmas lights last night, marking the start of the neighbourhood’s seven-week festive programme themed The Theatre of Christmas. The evening celebrated Covent Garden’s rich theatrical heritage while raising funds for Acting for Others, supporting those working across the entertainment industry.

Hayley arrived wearing an Erdem Fall 2025 pinstripe suit that quietly stood apart from the sea of seasonal sparkle. The look featured a painterly panel created in collaboration with British contemporary artist Kaye Donachie — a detail that instantly sets the runway versions apart from the commercial iteration currently available to buy. Those prints were one of the most compelling elements of Erdem’s collection, so seeing Hayley wear the full artistic vision rather than the retail-friendly edit felt like a gift in itself. The artwork brings character to the skirt, giving the tailored silhouette more energy.

The suit itself — structured shoulders, nipped waist, and a generous, sweeping skirt — delivered Erdem’s signature romanticism through the lens of traditional menswear. On Hayley, the effect was quietly commanding: elegant, statuesque, and perfectly attuned to the festive magic surrounding her.

L’Atelier Nawbar fine jewellery and metallic silver Aquazzura sandals completed the look, adding just enough shimmer to reflect the twinkling lights around her.
