Cynthia Erivo Wore Prada To The ‘Wicked: For Good’ London Premiere
Cynthia Erivo joined Ariana Grande on the yellow brick carpet for the London premiere of Wicked: For Good at Cineworld Leicester Square this evening, where the energy shifted from Parisian opera glamour to theatrical London spectacle.

And Cynthia understood the assignment in theory: something bold, something character-adjacent, something that continues her Elphaba-coded approach to this tour. But let’s talk about those sleeves. Because I have truly sat with this custom Prada gown for a while, trying to convince myself to love the vinyl, puffed, harnessed mutton sleeves. I wanted to get there. I really did.
The bodice itself? Gorgeous. The sculpted sweetheart neckline, belted waist, and the sweeping full skirt in midnight satin all work beautifully. The silhouette has presence, and that Cynthia-Erivo-on-a-red-carpet authority we’ve come to expect.
But the sleeves feel like they wandered in from a different concept entirely. They skew costumey. A strapless or halter interpretation would have worked better for me — especially given how well Cynthia carries strong, architectural shapes.
To her credit, Cynthia sells everything else — the nails, the confidence, the posture — all immaculate. Robert Coin jewels brought a final touch of glamour.

So yes, Prada was almost there. But those sleeves… my spirit simply cannot make peace with them.
