Here is a roundup from the 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel on Tuesday (October 30) in London.

Ellie Bamber: Was this a case of third time’s the charm, when this Chanel Pre-Fall 2018 look has already been successfully mastered by Keira Knightley and Tilda Swinton, or three strikes and your out?

Adwoa Aboah: Pop art was a way to rebel against the art establishment, just as Mary Katrantzou’s prints rebel against mundane colour combinations. You may not love the shape of this Spring 2019 dress, but you have to admire the artistry, and the additional green clutch and blue Louboutins Adwoa brought to this look.

Lily James In Burberry – 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

Lily James In Burberry - 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

Like Jenna Coleman, Lily James opted for a British-based designer for the 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel on Tuesday (October 30) in London.

The actress wore a Riccardo Tisci for Burberry Spring 2019 two piece look, which had me thinking at first that this was Dolce & Gabbana.

I think it’s the polka dots and lace combo that put me on that track.

Do I love this look?

No, it feels disjointed to me. Great pieces, but nothing gels well. I mean, tights and a cami top?

Amanda Seyfried In Givenchy – 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

Amanda Seyfried In Givenchy - 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

Amanda Seyfried joined Keira Knightley on the red carpet for the Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel on Tuesday (October 30) in London.

The actress also wore a look from the Givenchy Spring 2019 collection, but on this occasion I wasn’t as enthused.

I could’ve shown some love for the green version, but the look doesn’t have enough grandeur for the occasion in my opinion.

I can just as easily see Amanda wearing this while taking a stroll with her beau in New York City.

Keira Knightley In Givenchy – 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

Keira Knightley In Givenchy - 2018 Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

At some point during Keira Knightley’s promo tour for ‘Colette,’ déjà Chanel started to kick in, and I was longing for something different from the British actress.

This evening (October 30) she delivered that something new at the 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, in Givenchy no less, shaking me to my very core.

Firstly, is this allowed?

Secondly, how very refreshing this Spring 2019 pale-blue pleated dress is at first sight.

I know many of you have wanted to see Keira in Givenchy, so does this live up to your expectations?

What I love about this is how the bodice froths outward into a pleated swathe of asymmetry which keep the look modern.

Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards 2017 Red Carpet Roundup

There were lots of striking outfits at the Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards 2017 in London, England on Thursday (November 2).

Arizona Muse: Proving black isn’t boring, the model presented a glamorous finish in Ralph & Russo Fall 2017 Couture. The plunging neckline was decorated with a myriad of rhinestones mimicking a statement necklace. A high slit provided some relief to the ornate front and long sleeves.

Georgia May Jagger: The model wore The Vampire’s Wife Cate dress. The inky mini was emboldened with a metallic blue floral detail and delicate frills. She brought out the blue tones with her clutch and makeup, while the vertiginous black sandals enhanced her pins and the dress’s short hemline.

Natasha Poly: Clad in Vivienne Westwood Couture, the Russian model looked ravishing in the jewel tone floral sequin corseted mini dress, with nude underskirt. Some might wish the under layer wasn’t visible, but the surprise detail enhanced the lighter tones in the outer layer while balancing the thicker shoulder band.

Kate Winslet In Christian Dior – Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards 2017

Kate Winslet picked up the British Actress of the Year award at the Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards in London on Thursday (November 2).

We’re used to a very specific fitted silhouette from Kate, but she changed a habit of a lifetime wearing this Christian Dior fit and flare dress.

She kept things simple and elegant, but I would’ve loved one statement accessory to enliven the look. The look was kinda screaming out for it.

Carey Mulligan In Erdem – Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards 2017

The Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards 2017 on Thursday (November 2) in London also saw Carey Mulligan in the mix alongside Gemma Arterton, Hayley Atwell, and Jodie Foster.

I was immediately charmed by how this Erdem Spring 2018 plaid dress delivered a flirtatious twist on prim styling with its asymmetrical, off-the-shoulder neckline and flared, swing skirt.

While the look was in keeping with Carey’s safe-chic persona, the little bit of extra attitude here made all the difference.

A petal-pink clutch and a bouncy bob provided a modern, ladylike finish to the ensemble.
