Jodie Turner-Smith Wore Georges Chakra Couture To The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Jodie Turner-Smith attended the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York City on Wednesday, which was billed as a reimagined celebration of fashion, femininity, and empowerment.

The British actress, who has been serving up sci-fi avant-garde glamour throughout her Tron: Ares press tour, pivoted beautifully for this occasion in an archival Georges Chakra Spring 2005 Couture look. At first glance, it appears to be a dreamy handkerchief-hemline embellished dress.

But, the silver-embroidered jacket, with its crystal-thread detailing, fluid ruffled panels, and flared cuffs, opens to reveal a Swarovski and pearl-embroidered bodysuit which was both daring and delicately opulent.

If the bodysuit feels a little OTT, remember this was an event celebrating lingerie; in fact, Jodie was more covered than many of the models who walked the runway. Her commanding presence, statuesque poise, and innate glamour made her look entirely at home in this context—she could’ve easily been part of the show’s cast.

Finishing the ensemble with Chopard jewels and PVC heels, Jodie once again demonstrated her ability to dress for the occasion.
