Renate Reinsve Wore Louis Vuitton To The ‘Nouvelles Vagues’ International Biarritz Film Festival 

Following her last outing during the Cannes Film Festival, Renate Reinsve made her return to the red carpet at the Nouvelles Vagues International Biarritz Film Festival on Friday in France.

For the occasion, the actress wore a green Louis Vuitton V-neck slip dress embroidered with velvet floral details, and judging by this look—and a few others we’ve seen recently—it’s clear that it’s going to be a maxi summer for the Louis Vuitton ambassadors. That said, while I appreciate the effort to make a maxi feel elevated, this one feels a little at odds with the season.

Maybe it’s the weight of the fabric, the velvet florals or the deep tone of green, but there’s a wintry mood to this look that’s hard to shake. In fact, I might just be using “wintry” to soften the blow, because truthfully, I’m not entirely sold on this dress full stop. How something so strappy can feel so heavy is beyond me. I’m not getting summer festival in Biarritz from this outing.
