Scarlett Johansson Wore Givenchy To The ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ New York Premiere

Seeing Scarlett Johansson back in her fashion groove for the Jurassic World Rebirth press tour has genuinely been one of the standout delights of 2025. Each appearance has felt like a return to form—poised, powerful, and playfully chic. That’s why the New York premiere on Monday evening left me with my jaw on the floor, but for all the wrong reasons.

I was genuinely surprised to learn that this ivory lace and chiffon bustier dress came from Sarah Burton’s upcoming Givenchy Spring 2026 collection. If it hadn’t been posted on the brand’s official Instagram stories, I might’ve assumed it was a placeholder gown waiting for something better to layer on top. The design felt unfinished, like the blueprint of a great dress that never quite made it to the final fitting.

Scarlett is undeniably beautiful—her hair, makeup, and poise do much of the heavy lifting here, to the point where it’s almost enough to distract from the dress entirely. But the closer you look, the more the dress just doesn’t hold up. It lacks impact, structure, and that sense of occasion you expect from a major red carpet moment.

David Yurman jewels were added to the look, but they barely register in the wake of a dress that simply doesn’t match Scarlett’s usual standard—or this blockbuster press tour. Is there still time for redemption? I’m hope so.
