Scarlett Johansson Wore Saint Laurent To ‘The Phoenician Scheme’ New York Premiere

Fresh from the Cannes Film Festival—where she was busy promoting her directorial debut Eleanor the Great—Scarlett Johansson made a triumphant return to the red carpet in New York for the premiere of The Phoenician Scheme. While Cannes was more about her work behind the camera, this premiere marked her first official red carpet moment for the film, and she made it count.

Wearing custom Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, Scarlett chose a striking tangerine strapless gown that brought back the kind of drama and flare we’ve been missing from her lately. The ruched bodice gave way to a fluid, draped silhouette but it was the colour alone that ensured all eyes were on her.

What worked so well here is that the look didn’t feel like it was trying to reinvent the wheel. It was a return to strong, unapologetic style—a visual reminder that when Scarlett wants to make a statement, she does it with precision and ease. The colour, cut, and styling all worked in harmony, giving us a look that felt modern while still evoking a bit of timeless red carpet elegance.

The Taffin Jewelry gold diamond lariat necklace and ring completed her look.

If this is a glimpse into what we can expect from her upcoming promotional run, we could be in for something special.
