Celebrities at the 2025 AMAs
Las Vegas hosted the 2025 American Music Awards on Memorial Day, and while Jennifer Lopez dazzled as host with eight outfit changes, and Ciara with two, the red carpet guests certainly didn’t come to play it safe either.

Bridal chic
Rebecca Black absolutely stole the show with her custom Erick Charlotte look—a sartorial celebration of everything bridal, bizarre, and brilliant. The lace-accented veil cascading from a sailor’s hat (monogrammed), the feathers, the stark white pumps—it all felt like Carrie Bradshaw does Las Vegas elopement, but camped up to perfection.

Leopard print and legs for days
Becky G’s metallic animal print strapless Catherine Regehr mini dress, with the train styled as a shawl, delivered the glam- punch you expect from a Vegas-based awards show. It’s giving diva, it’s giving ‘90s Vegas residency promo poster—and I’m not mad at it.

Soft rock with a Southern twang
Benson Boone’s green vintage suit brought a charming touch of Southern flair to the AMAs. It felt like a playful nod to country icons with a modern twist. The retro vibe suits him, and while it leaned more Grand Ole Opry than Sunset Strip, there’s something refreshing about a musician embracing a bit of theatrical Americana.

Drama dress meets drag boot
Heidi Klum wore a Stephane Rolland Spring 2023 Haute Couture dress. I loved the sculptural drama of the dress, but between the over-the-knee boots and the loose hair, it felt like too many statements fighting for attention. A slicked-back bun and a delicate heel could’ve elevated this.

When the look shines but the glam says daytime soap villain
Heidi Montag went for full glam in a crystallised corset and trousers from The Blonds Fall 2024 collection. Sadly, her over-styled blonde wig and heavy-handed makeup dragged this look into cosplay territory.

High noon at the couture corral
Lainey Wilson knows her brand and sticks to it like rhinestones to denim. Her embroidered Rahul Mishra Fall 2024 Couture suit, complete with a trailing tulle train, was a strong mix of country and couture.

Less is… way less
Machine Gun Kelly toned it all the way down in a simple shirt, vest and trousers combo. Converse and all. It was shockingly subdued given this is the man who once wore literal spikes to this event back in 2022. A vibe shift? Perhaps. A style evolution? Still pending.

When custom still feels off-the-rack
Renee Rapp’s custom GAP Studio blazer dress had potential, but the oversized fit completely swallowed her. It’s a shame, because the idea was strong—but the tailoring fell flat.

Shimmering suit and Scottish pride
Rod Stewart looked like the rock icon he is collecting his lifetime achievement award in a silver metallic suit that gleamed under the lights. His “Celtic” tie pin was a sentimental nod to his football team’s recent Scottish league win—fashion and fandom in one.

Beads, fringe and all the bells and whistles
Shaboozey wore a custom Etro look that included everything from beaded fringe to chaps and a leather vest with lace. Was it a lot? Absolutely. Was it a Shaboozey moment through and through? Without a doubt. It was theatrical, confident, and exactly the kind of OTT styling you hope to see at an awards show.

hooded
Tiffany Haddish tapped into the hooded dress trend with her sparkly Bronx and Banco number.
