Elsa Hosk Wore Thierry Mugler Haute Couture To ‘The History Of Sound’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere
Elsa Hosk attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere of The History of Sound this evening wearing a striking look pulled from the Thierry Mugler Fall 1995 Haute Couture archives.

With sheer horizontal stripes and sculpted curves, the dress exemplifies Mugler’s sensual, futuristic vision — and feels like a true blast from fashion’s most fearless decade.
Some might say the pearl choker and satin-lined cape lean a little dated, but it’s clear this was a considered tribute. Claudia Schiffer originally modelled the look, peach flower and all, and Elsa followed suit down to the finest nostalgic detail.
I appreciate the homage — it’s reverential and precise — though I wouldn’t be mad to see archival looks interpreted more personally in the future.
