“Tailored For You?”

Because this Ionut Razvan deconstructed mermaid gown — made from the upper chest panels and collars of four shirts — feels like it was waiting in the wings should Anna Wintour make that call.

This instantly brought to mind her Cheney Chan Couture moment from last year, which also read like a pitch-perfect reference to The Garden of Time 2024 Met Gala theme.

What I love is that this is Coco doing Coco. Thematically bold. Theatrically driven. Sartorially editorial. This is a woman who doesn’t just wear fashion — she performs it.

With the backcombed hair and strong editorial makeup, the entire look lives somewhere between high concept and high drama, solidifying that this as a moment that could easily live on a magazine cover. For anyone else this might have felt too costume, but on Coco it’s pure runway theatre — and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

TASAKI Atelier Cascade earrings and Balance arm ring completed her look.

Stylist: Ilya Vanzato.
