Megan Thee Stallion Wore Michael Kors Collection To The 2025 Met Gala
Megan Thee Stallion arrived at the 2025 Met Gala serving Old Hollywood glam with a tribute that had all the right references on paper.

Celebrating Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, she channelled the legendary Josephine Baker in a Michael Kors Collection silver embellished custom gown with a white faux fur coat, delivering pure cabaret goddess energy. The pièce de résistance?

That red coiffed hairstyle, a pitch-perfect nod to Baker’s look in the 1940 film The French Way.

This was so close to being a major moment for Megan. The idea was rich, the execution mostly there, the mood completely right—but we can’t ignore the elephant in the room: the bustier. It was visibly too tight, and not in the “cinch me for the drama” kind of way, but in the “how did this pass the final fitting?” kind of way.
I love a look that celebrates a fashion icon through glamour and storytelling, but fashion is still about fit. A small tweak—literally going up two cup sizes—could have made this an all-time Met win for Megan. The vision was there, the homage was thoughtful, but this detail was just too distracting to overlook.
The concept deserved better execution.
