Celebrities Front Row at the Chanel Resort 2026 Show
While we eagerly await Matthieu Blazy’s debut collection for Chanel, set to be unveiled in October 2025 during Paris Fashion Week, the fashion house treated us to a picturesque preview with their Resort 2025 collection. Set against the fairytale backdrop of the historic Villa d’Este, the show unfolded like a stylish fever dream, rich in legacy and ripe with modern flair. It was all very Chanel meets Roman Holiday, and naturally, the stars aligned in their finest tweeds, tulles, and (sometimes questionable) footwear.

Golden Age Glamour
Keira Knightley wore a Chanel Fall 2025 ivory dress with dramatically oversized black bows. Be still my vintage-loving heart. The setting, the soft light, the dress… this was a cinematic masterpiece disguised as a fashion moment. Keira looked like she’d wandered out of a 1950s movie set and landed on Lake Como.

The look was polished off with a pearl and gold-accented belt, Chanel shades, and the Coco Crush earrings from Chanel’s Fine Jewelry. She was giving “European heiress who reads poetry by the lake before a gala,” and I am eating it up.

Black Tweed on a Sunny Day?
Someone please pass a note to Lupita Nyong’o: being a Chanel ambassador doesn’t mean you have to commit to the holy trinity of black, tweed, and jackets. Sure, the tulle skirt tried its best to lighten the mood, but the heavy black tweed jacket was giving off serious climate confusion. On what looked like a glorious, sun-drenched day, this ensemble felt more New York Fashion Week in February than a breezy Resort presentation by the lake.

Lupita is a red carpet goddess, but this one missed the mark for me. I know some of you want to blame Chanel, but choices are being made by Lupita and her stylist.

When a power suit takes a vacation
Fernanda Torres wore a Chanel Fall 2025 peacock blue and gold fantasy wool tweed suit. The colour combo alone deserves applause—it was bold, opulent, and unmistakably Chanel.

Styling masterclass
As you would expect, Sofia Coppola delivered elegance in spades. Wearing a Chanel Fall 2025 black and ecru knit top with a matching skirt, she reminded us why less is often more.

Bonus points for her masterclass in how to wear Chanel jewelry without it wearing you.

Picnic-core
Spring was clearly in Nana Komatsu’s step, as she donned a pink and white checked tweed suit from the Chanel Fall 2025 collection. This look felt fresh, young, and—crucially—seasonally appropriate. Unlike some of her peers (ahem, Lupita), Nana embraced the lightness of Resort with a cheerful palette and breathable vibes.

The Sunshine & the Shoe Mishap
Beatrice Grannò started strong in a yellow pleated cape with a matching skirt from Chanel Spring 2025 collection. It was playful, bright, and perfect for the lakeside setting—until you get to the feet. The gold and black toe cap shoes brought the look down like a fashion record scratch. Such a shame, because the top half was serving whimsical Italian summer dream.

Minimalist Surprise
Chanel isn’t usually the place you go for minimalism, but Sarah Catherine Hook said, “Watch this.” Her black satin dress was pared back and all the better for it. Sleek, simple, and incredibly effective—it gave off a grown-up glamour that felt fresh amidst the tweed parade.
