Nicola Coughlan Wore Robert Wun Couture To The 2025 Canneseries International Festival

Nicola Coughlan continues to prove she’s not just that girl on the red carpet—she’s that woman with a voice, a purpose, and a serious sense of occasion. Honoured with the Konbini Commitment Award at the Canneseries International Festival on Monday, Nicola was celebrated for her fearless advocacy for abortion rights in Ireland, support for refugees, Palestinian children’s rights, and her fight against body-shaming.

And to mark the moment she wore a custom Robert Wun Couture gown that demanded to be both seen and interpreted.

The dress showcased Wun’s sculptural shift—a notable step away from the drapery-heavy designs that defined much of his 2024 and 2025. This look was sharper, more deliberate, and carried a deeper narrative. The gown, designed to resemble a peace lily, packed in layers of symbolism that aligned beautifully with the occasion. Peace, purity, remembrance—it all tracks when you consider Nicola’s unwavering commitment to activism.

That said, if I’m getting picky (which I always do), I would’ve loved the asymmetrical peak to lean more to the left—our left—so it didn’t compete with Nicola herself in photos. She deserves full camera dominance, no contest. Still, the drama of the cape was divine and gave this moment a much-needed sweep of theatrical flair.

She finished the look with ivory Jimmy Choo Ixis pumps, keeping it elegant from head to toe. A powerful woman in a meaningful dress.
