Eva Longoria touched down in Geneva for the Global Gift Gala as the Honorary Chair, but her look was already screaming Cannes is coming, and I, for one, am fully here for this teaser trailer.

Wearing an Elie Saab Fall 2024 Haute Couture gown made of silver chainmail, Eva gave us a full-on glamazon moment that had a touch of warrior, a touch of diva, and a whole lot of sparkle. The gown shimmered like liquid metal under the lights, the kind of dress that needs no introduction, no bells or whistles—just the woman wearing it and a light breeze for dramatic effect.

Now, I know some people like to throw around the word “dated” when it comes to Eva’s style—but to me, she’s just doing Eva. She’s not chasing trends (and let’s be honest, remember how rough that era was? Shudders). The truth is, her style really started to shine once she stopped trying to keep up. That’s when it finally began to sing.

This look was pure, unapologetic glamour. From the glossy waves to the equally glitzy Mayiana necklace, it was the kind of confidence-drenched look that allows her to simply own the moment. If this is the energy Eva’s bringing to Cannes in a few weeks, then the steps of the Palais des Festivals better get ready.
