Celebrities at the 2024 LVMH Prize
The 2024 LVMH Prize, held last week in Paris, showcased some of the most exciting up-and-coming talents in fashion, with the prestigious award going to Ellen Hodakova Larsson, the Swedish designer behind the womenswear brand Hodakova. Her brand, embraced by Cate Blanchett, aligns with the actress’s sustainability ethos.
With the LVMH Prize under her belt, Ellen Hodakova Larsson is set to reach new heights. Along with a €400,000 endowment, she’ll receive mentorship from LVMH experts, which could mean we’ll be seeing even more of her innovative designs gracing the red carpet.
While the finalists celebrated their achievements, the jury was composed of LVMH ambassadors.
Polished in Dior
Natalie Portman epitomized chic professionalism while on jury duty at the LVMH Prize. The actress wore a tailored red Dior Fall 2024 suit that perfectly balanced elegance and power dressing. The structured silhouette gave the ensemble a modern, no-nonsense feel, while a Miss Dior bag, tights, and sleek boots completed the look. It was a strong, clean statement, fitting for her official role.
Making A Statement
Ana de Armas’ Louis Vuitton look might have flown under the radar had it not been for her long embroidered coat, which gave the ensemble the punch it needed. While the base of her outfit felt understated, the coat—rich with texture and detail—brought an essential touch of Louis Vuitton luxury to her appearance, elevating it to match the significance of the occasion. The look was completed with LV Trinity boots, a LV clutch, LV Diamonds studs, and pieces from the Louis Vuitton Fine Jewelry collection, including Monogram Star Diamonds.
Breaking the Black Mold in Autumnal Dior
Known for his love of black, Robert Pattinson took a refreshing step into warmer tones at the LVMH Prize, sporting an autumnal brown Dior Men Fall 2024 ensemble. The look, featuring Dior’s signature Oblique jacket, played with texture with the combination of the jacket and trousers giving it depth and dimension. The brown tones felt like a fresh, seasonal shift for Robert, breaking away from his usual colour palette while maintaining his effortlessly cool persona. This look was a reminder that sometimes a simple color change can make all the difference. However, I expect the British actor to return to form when he starts promoting ‘Mickey 17’ in 2025.
