Models @ 2023 Met Gala
Weâve seen many models on the red carpet at the 2023 Met Gala, so here is your roundup.
Starting with my favourite, Anok Yai who looked like a beautiful Queen bee wearing an Atelier Prabal Gurung degrade Pannier shaped dress.
Between the shape of the dress, and the mask, this look had a futuristic feel that didnât feel like a costume.
Jimmy Choo sandals completed her look, but her greatest accessory was her glowing skin.
I really need her skincare routine.
Designer Wes Gordon followed the camellia and pearls blueprint when designing this Carolina Herrera gown for Adut Akech.
It was great to see Ashley Graham back on track style-wise wearing this Harris Reed sculptural creation.
As always, quiet elegance was Camila Morroneâs M.O. in Rodarte.
Some might feel that the lace collar took this into Amish territory.
Fred Leighton jewelry completed her look.
There were more sheer dresses on this red carpet than I was expecting.
Gigi Hadid’s style took a rare dark, and moody turn in this Givenchy dress styled with LAGOS jewelry and a Smiling Rocks diamond necklace.
Emily Ratajkowski doesnât always deliver on the big occasions, but I was pleasantly surprised by how elegant she looked in this custom Tory Burch nude gown which was inspired by Karl Lagerfeldâs Chanel Spring 1993 Couture collection.
The model styled her look with Fred Leighton jewelry, and Jimmy Choo accessories.
Grace Elizabeth stood out as most people do when they don a Christopher John Rogers creation.
Imaan Hammam looked supremely elegant and statuesque in Standing Ground.
I can see where the designer was going with Irina Shaykâs Yohji Yamamoto dress, but I didnât find it flattering on her considering her usual red carpet looks.
However, those ballet pumps were true to form.
Joan Smalls joined the many who wore black opting for a sexy Tom Ford sheer lace number.
Iâm not surprised that Christian Siriano nailed the theme with Karen Elsonâs floral tribute.
Karlie Kloss was apparently one of the most google searched Met Gala attendees, which I find surprising considering how her bespoke Loewe gown wasnât one of the more dramatic looks on the night.
This look was inspired by a dress from Karl Lagerfeldâs Spring 1983 collection for Chanel that was reimagined by creative director Jonathan Anderson through the blurred lens of the latest Loewe Fall 2023 collection.
Her surrealist trompe lâoeil dress was finished with a long-strand necklace and belt featuring the houseâs signature Anagram motif.
Between the silhouette, the bows and the pink train, Lily Aldridgeâs Oscar de la Renta gown ensured she was one of the best dressed, with Bucherer Fine Jewellery adding the finishing touch.
Liu Wen always makes the biggest impact on the red carpet at the Met Gala.  I donât think she gets enough credit.
Her custom black and ivory Tory Burch gown was reminiscent of the 1950s, when Lagerfeld was designing for Jean Patou.
I adore how the layers of black and ivory tulle fan out beneath the skirt, embroidered with an abundance of organza camellia flowers.
Vittoria Ceretti was dressed in a Balenciaga Couture black strapless gown.
