Celebrity Makeup Artist Patrick Ta created Adriana Lima’s perfect red pout for the LA premiere of ‘AIR,’ using his own Patrick Ta ‘That’s Why She’s Late’ lipstick.

You may think that applying a matte red lip is easy, but there are some tips you need to ensure that your red lip stays flawless which you can find below.

1. Start With A Lip Scrub

Create a smooth canvas by scrubbing your lips before applying your matte lip colour. A soft sugar scrub will gently exfoliate removing any dead skin.

2. Apply a Hydrating Lip Balm

This will replenish lost moisture.

3. Add A Lip Liner

Staying within the lines can create a problem when it comes to applying a matte lipstick. So, opt for a smooth option and the natural shape of your lips.

If you want that fuller pout like Adriana, slightly overline your lips to create a contoured look before filling in with your matte shade.
