Rooney Mara Wore Alexander McQueen To The 2023 SAG Awards

I was surprised to see Rooney Mara on the red carpet for the 2023 SAG Awards on Sunday (February 26), where she joined her ‘Talking Women’ co-stars Jessie Buckley and Claire Foy as guest presenters.

As we know there are three colour palettes for Rooney.

Black. White. Or black and white.  Usually courtesy of Alexander McQueen.

On this occasion she wore an archive lace Alexander McQueen gown featuring lace applique dove embroidery from the Spring 2016 collection.

You’ll either be feeling a case of déjà vu or recognise that this style of dress is very much in her wheelhouse. 

Personally, I love the romance of it all, and the fact this wasn’t as predictable as it could have been.
