If the mini trend started by Anne Hathaway and now Kendall Jenner is anything to go by, yes.
Anne matched her Valentino bejewelled leopard print mini dress, leopard print tights and leopard heels for the Valentino Spring 2023 Haute Couture show last month in the FROW, and now Kendall Jenner has taken the baton and run with this trend while out in LA this week wearing a Bottega Veneta Spring 2023 fluid suede mini dress.
Back in the ‘60s mod era, tights were a seminal development in women’s wear as a result of the rising hemlines of miniskirts.
I have deduced that this mini-trend may have come around because of rising hemlines, and the fact that by matching your tights to your dress this gives you a more streamlined appearance, plus by opting for opaque tights you present a tights-duplicating-pants look.
