Jennifer Lopez Performed At The LuisaViaRoma x UNICEF Capri Gala In Roberto Cavalli
Jennifer Lopez made her debut appearance on stage as Mrs Affleck at the LuisaViaRoma for UNICEF charity gala on Saturday (July 30).
The singer performed crowd favourites such as her ’90s hits ‘If You Had My Love’ and ‘Waiting for Tonight,’ plus she sang covers of Chaka Khan’s ‘I’m Every Woman,’ Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive’ and Gloria Estefan’s ‘Turn the Beat Around.’
JLo was very much in her element wearing a custom jungle tiger print Roberto Cavalli bustier and trousers enveloped by an oversized double-pleated chiffon and organza cape.
The embroidered crystals and feathers added to the excess which is classic JLo.
Do I love the look? I love it for the performance and the occasion. You have to go big in these moments, and I’m glad to see that the singer has – it appears – evolved past her rhinestone catsuit phase.
The only thing I really didn’t like about this look was the “illusion” part of the bustier.
Why this can’t be more seamless will always remain a mystery to me.
