Givenchy @ The 2022 Met Gala

Matthew M. Williams of Givenchy dressed Rosalía, Karlie Kloss and Jack Harlow in custom looks for the 2022 Met Gala on Monday (May 2) in New York City.

Rosalía’s Givenchy ivory silk tulle embellished gown was giving nostalgic feelings related back to the Givenchy Fall 2010 Haute Couture collection on account of the details and the intricacies of her look.

The Spanish singer’s style tends to give us more misses than hits, but this was a look for her Hall of Fame.

An ivory embroidered Kenny bag, ivory leather platform boots, silver G earrings inserted with crystals and black matte signature G sunglasses all from Givenchy completed her look.

There were so many black dresses on the red carpet (much to my disgruntlement), but Karlie Kloss’ custom Givenchy dress stood out as I was hypnotised by the Chantilly lace that was embroidered with jet pearls and beads which created the most stunning silhouette.

I know you’re over opera gloves, but they enhanced Karlie’s look, along with her punk-inspired makeup and Muzo Jewelry hair accessory.

When it comes to Jack Harlow’s custom Givenchy suit, the boxy silhouette, chocolate brown hue and silk fabrication prevented this from being just another classic suit with no effort for this event.
