Burberry @ The 2022 Met Gala

Nicki Minaj in Burberry - 2022 Met Gala

Riccardo Tisci of Burberry dressed Nicki Minaj, Bella Hadid, Stormzy, Irina Shayk, Bad Bunny, Jacob Elordi, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Lila Moss for the 2022 Met Gala on Monday (May 2) in New York City.

In fairness to Nicki Minaj, she did address the fact that her custom tiered Burberry gown was too small in the bust region.

How does this happen when it’s custom?

This is why she was literally spilling out of the dress, which she had to keep pulling up to prevent a wardrobe malfunction.

Bella Hadid in Burberry - 2022 Met Gala

Bella Hadid wore a custom Burberry leather and lace look, that was part goth, part vixen.

I know I have said several times that there were too many black looks on this red carpet, but this was one of my favourites.

I’m enjoying this current period of her style.

Dorsey Lee earrings completed her look.

Stormzy in Burberry - 2022 Met Gala

British rapper Stormzy was looking almost Christlike wearing a Burberry custom white wool cape and three-piece tuxedo.

As you know I’m a stickler for black shoes with white suits, but they are somewhat concealed by the cape, and in this case I kinda like how they break up the flow of the stark white.

Looking at Irina Shayk in this custom Burberry biker look featuring a reconstructed corset, I’m curious to know what the inspiration was.

I don’t think this will go down too well, but I like that she did something different, as the models tend to play it safe with the Saabs and Murads.

Bad Bunny in Burberry - 2022 Met Gala

Bad Bunny, who told GQ Magazine that he much prefers wearing skirts than trousers on the red carpet, made his Met Gala debut wearing a Burberry custom boilersuit tailored with puff sleeves and a detachable reconstructed skirt.

Jacob Elordi in Burberry - 2022 Met Gala

The beaded details on Jacob Elordi’s Burberry suit kept things interesting.

Naomi Campbell in Burberry - 2022 Met Gala

After her rather perplexing look at the Prince’s Trust Gala, Naomi Campbell wore a Burberry dress embellished with the brands Equestrian Knight Design which felt more fitting for the catwalk queen.

Kate Moss in Burberry - 2022 Met Gala

Kate Moss kept things simple and classic wearing a custom Burberry reconstructed velvet trench gown.

Lila Moss in Burberry - 2022 Met Gala

While her daughter Lila Moss wore a custom Burberry tulle dress.

Yes.  Another sheer dress, but as you know I’m a sucker for embellishments, and these crystals present the brands signature Equestrian Knight Design.
