Alana Haim Wore Marni To The National Board Of Review Gala
Alana Haim attended the National Board of Review annual awards gala held at Cipriani 42nd Street on Tuesday (March 15) in New York City, following the BAFTAs and the Critics’s Choice Awards.
The ‘Licorice Pizza’ actress continued her fine form wearing a custom Marni dress designed by creative director Francesco Risso in a stunning shade of green – the same colour as Keira Knightley’s iconic ‘Atonement’ gown and Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘Great Expectations’ look.
Aside from the colour, I adore the drapery which gives the dress most of its detail.
I’m glad the jewels were kept to a minimum, as Alana doesn’t strike me as a girl who likes too many accessories.
This is Alana’s second custom Marni look.
She wore this red drop waist Marni dress during the Santa Barbara Film Festival.
I think the reason I never got around to posting it, is because the only thing I really liked about it was the colour.
The ruching on the bodice I found to be a bit overly fussy.
The green dress is much preferred.
