Jessica Chastain Wore Moschino, Alexander McQueen, & Burberry Promoting ‘The Eyes Of Tammy Faye’

Jessica Chastain Wore Moschino, 'The Eyes Of Tammy Faye' TIFF

It’s been a busy week for Jessica Chastain who has been promoting her new film, ‘The Eyes Of Tammy Faye.’

She started out during the 2021 TIFF Tribute Awards Press Conference where she wore a colourful look which should be recognisable to you.

That’s because Zendaya wore similar colour-block look from the same Moschino Resort 2022 collection to the ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ LA Premiere.

The look is very much expected on Zendaya, such is the playful nature, but I wouldn’t have picked this for Jessica.

But I’m glad her stylist Elizabeth Stewart did, because it not only showcases a new side to her style, but it also makes me happy to see Jessica in bold colours.

Plus it fits the 70s era which the film is set in.

Completing her look with yellow Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle Follies’ pumps was *chefs kiss.*

For the TIFF premiere, Jessica was back on the road most travelled wearing an Alexander McQueen Fall 2021 look consisting of a beautiful Lily pad embroidered asymmetric top with slashed trousers.

If this look is giving you a case of déjà vu, that’s because the embroidery is very reminiscent of Emily Blunt’s 2019 Golden Globes Alexander McQueen custom dress

I love that despite the embroidery the T-shirt part of this top gave this look a semi-relaxed feel for the premiere.

She had already worn a gorgeous gown to ‘The Forgiven’ Toronto Film Festival premiere, so it looks like she was mixing things up at this festival.

For the New York premiere, Jessica was back on the road not taken wearing a silver dress from the Burberry Resort 2022 collection.

I have a feeling that some will be horrified, but having looked up Tammy Faye, and the era in which she was most famous – ‘70s and ‘80s – this look really made sense to me.

Does that mean that I’m going to be adding it to my best dressed list?  No.

But in the context of the film she was promoting, this disco glam look was a fun way to celebrate in New York City, especially when she invited a host of drag queens to the premiere.

This was a chance to step out of her comfort-zone and have a bit of fun.

So for me, she nailed this.
