Liu YuXin performed at the China Cool Music Festival on Sunday (May 2) in Beijing, China.
The Chinese singer-rapper is not your typical girlie girl. In fact she’s far from it.
I have featured her a few times, and it’s clear that dresses, skirts or anything remotely feminine doesn’t make up part of her style repertoire as she seems to go for more experimental looks.
Her head-to-toe ensemble was designed by the American artist Sterling Ruby as part of his S.R. STUDIO. LA. CA. Spring 2021 Couture collection, yet I wouldn’t exactly call this look menswear, more gender neutral.
You may remember that it was Timothée Chalamet who introduced us to these splattered paint pieces back in 2019.
But Sterling’s clothing line doesn’t just use the same graphic aesthetic as his artwork, as you may remember that Tracee Ellis Ross wore a red suit from the designer back in March.
