Zendaya Wore Vintage Yves Saint Laurent To The ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards

Zendaya attended the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards on Thursday (April 22) as an honouree.

Never one to shy away from making a strong style statement, the actress wore a vintage Yves Saint Laurent 1982 Haute Couture look, which hails from the personal archive of her stylist Law Roach.

The steel-blue, puff sleeved top and black maxi skirt – originally owned by Eunice W. Johnson, the Ebony Fashion Fair founder – is actually older than the wearer herself by 15 years.

I know many will never embrace the fashion era that was the ’80s, but I love everything about this, especially how the look marries the puffiness associated with the ’80s with the sleek elegance of the ’80s.

Roger Vivier pumps and Bvlgari jewels completed her look.
