Jurnee Smollett Wore Louis Vuitton Promoting ‘Lovecraft Country’
Jurnee Smollett has been such a breath of fresh air for me this awards season.
One of my favourite looks from her was the silver Louis Vuitton suit she wore to the 2021 Critics’ Choice Awards, and judging by this second Louis Vuitton look, perhaps there is a brand ambassadorship looming.
Looking at the actress in this sultry leather look and buckle boots while promoting her HBO show ‘Lovecraft Country,’ I would say she deserves it.
For me, what sells LV is an attitude, along with a stylist who knows how to select the right pieces for their client.
Jennifer Connelly has it (even if she always presents head-to-toe runway looks), Sophie Turner has it, and Alicia Vikander has custom looks created to suit her style.
If you were to judge this Jurnee on the rock ‘n’ roll scale, it would fall on the softer side.
Carefully considered details such as the buttery leather composition and the knee length of the skirt don’t scream rock to me, but it started on that journey with the zipper unzipped.
