Zhao Liying 赵丽颖 Wore Guo Pei Haute Couture & Dior To The 2021 Harper’s Bazaar ICONS Party

The annual Harper’s Bazaar ICONS Party was hosted in Shanghai, China on Wednesday (March 31), where a host of celebrities were recognized for setting trends and being fashion icons.
While there was a red carpet Zhao Liying 赵丽颖, who was presenting at the event, skipped it.
Thankfully this moment was captured, because it would’ve been a crime for us to have missed the beauty that is this Guo Pei Fall 2017 Haute Couture gown.

Crafted from lightweight Japanese mist yarn and adorned with golden wheat ears, whether you’re a fan of princess gowns or not, it’s impossible to deny how romantic this piece is, as the voluminous nature brings storybook princesses to mind.
I bet it felt every bit as magical as it looked.
For me, the corset ensured this felt like a modern moment.

Staying within the same cream/beige/nude colour palette, the actress changed into a Christian Dior Spring 2021 dress which may not have had the same drama, yet was equally imbued with feminine charm.
Some might prefer this look.
I wasn’t a biggest fan of the logo straps when they first became a thing for Dior, but on this occasion I feel like they helped modernize this look somewhat.
