2019 Baby2Baby Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Posted by Heather Cichowski

There were plenty of well-dressed attendees at the 2019 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday evening (November 9) in Culver City, California. The celebrities walked the dramatic black carpet with Mindy KalingOlivia MunnChrissy Teigen and more to show their support.

Nikki Reed: Her icy blue Monique Lhuillier Spring 2020 gown was like a frosty breeze with its diaphanous pleating. The billowing skirt juxtaposed the severe high neckline.

Jordana Brewster: Also in a blue frock from the designer, she went for high drama in full and decorated Monique Lhuillier Spring 2019. Some might wish for a bare neckline.

Kate Hudson: The mum-of-three glistened in flowing Prada. With BVLGARI High Jewelry and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, the strapless style captured her bohemian elegance.

Nicole Richie: She can carry off colour with her golden complexion, but she opted for a monochromatic look with a Vika Gazinskaya Spring 2020 dress and Jimmy Choo ‘Lockett Minaudiere’ clutch. The pleating and accessories brought a breezy feel that’s in keeping with her M.O.

Jennifer Garner: The sweetness of the lilac pink Prada gown was toughened with the thick and highly embellished belt. Anita Ko jewels added further luster.

Katy Perry: Her Prada gown had plenty of cleavage and enough metallic sheen, but it was a quieter look for the singer, even with the Ana Khouri Haute Joaillerie jewels.

Camilla Belle: All eyes were on her shocking pink Monique Lhuillier Spring 2020 dress with Jimmy Choo Carmen clutch. Methinks some will have strong stances about the embellished belt.

Kirsten Dunst: The mum-of-one kept it sleekly elegant in a Prada dress with Irene Neuwirth jewelry. It was a more casual ensemble, but her refined styling and bow detail presented a formal feel.

Kelly Rowland: Another beauty in black, she went in a more dramatic direction with her feathered Nicole + Felicia Fall 2019 Couture gown. The skirt was tied in with her wispy hair accessory.

Jennifer Garner’s belt is HORRIBLE. Her whole look is one of the worst dressed of the year.

I really like Katy and Kate’s looks. I just with Kate had picked a different necklace to better go with her gown.

To sum up all the ladies here would be just one word: dated.
Having said that, Jordana and Kelly stand out at this not so impressive event.

Jordana is my favourite here, I don’t even mind the necklace. I like Camilla’s dress but she’s not really selling it to me.

What a great looking event overall.
Jordana stands out for me. So lovely and elegant. She looks flawless to me.
I like the idea of Nikkis dress but I dont think she was the right person to wear it.
Camillas dress is so pretty. love the pink…just cant stand her makeup. That orange lip is just garish against the pink.
Katy Perry just needs to get her dark hair back.

This is a very well-dressed event.

Nikki’s dress is very nice, but that’s not the hairstyle for it.

Jordana looks good. The color is wonderful on her.

Kelly Rowland looks amazing. Man, her arms are toned!!!!

My favorite dress is probably Nicole’s. This Grecian situation with the B/W colorblocking is quite beautiful.

Nikki: Possibly the best dressed of this group.
Jordana: Seen this silhouette a million times but it works, so fine. Love the blue.
Kate and Nicole: Yeah, fine whatever.
Jennifer: +1 to everything KseniaBradner says. This looks like a bridesmaid or prom dress from the 1980s or 1990s. How is this mess even Prada?
Katy: Very nice dress that looks good on her but can she stay away from the trowel when putting on makeup. It is always so heavy and overdone with her.
Camilla: That can’t be her beauty look. It must be the picture. A smaller belt that looked less cheap would have put this into the win column.
Kirsten: Everything about this looks aging and matronly from the hair to the pose to the dress to the shoes.
Kelly: Better than the IVH look but nothing memorable. Neck up, I think she has on too much makeup and the hair accessory looks like messy hair.

Kelly and Jordana are tops out of the bunch. Nicole doesn’t look well at all.

I do not understand Jennifer Garner’s terrible taste. She has the taste of a small-town Facebook mom who has a Kate Gosselin Can I Speak To The Manager hairdo, sorry. So WHY do her stylists offer her these dated boring clothes? Isn’t it their job to curb their client’s worst sartorial impulses??? I get that Jennifer’s brand is Make Motherhood Great Again, fine, but would it kill her to wear Jordana’s Monique Lhuillier? An A-line Lhuillier is Basicness that is at least not *as* boring as Jennifer’s typical fare.

Katy’s look is very nice I just wish she would find a hair color that is actually flattering to her complexion and not wear a pound of makeup. Katy Perry’s makeup is ALWAYS clownish and it baffles the mind because she is truly beautiful with minimal makeup only emphasizing her eyes.

I expect more from Kirsten Dunst. She used to be SUCH a fashion queen during her Starlet Brat years (2002-2008) and her Garrett Hedlund years 2012-2016 *sighs*
