Kiki Layne Gorgeous In Green Gucci At The 2019 LACMA Art + Film Gala

On Saturday (November 2), the 9th annual LACMA Art + Film Gala presented by Gucci was hosted at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in California.

This year’s event – co-chaired by Leonardo DiCaprio – honoured artist Betye Saar and filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón, while raising funds to help the Los Angeles County Museum of Art support exhibitions, acquisitions, and educational programming that involve film and other creative media.

Despite feeling near death with my illness all weekend, Kiki Layne’s had me looking forward to Monday.

The actress continues to bring a bold sensibility to the red carpet, and her look for this event felt just as fearless as you’d expect.

In fact, her custom Gucci green sequin embroidered gown was one of the most dramatic looks of the evening.

With the contrast piping, toggle detail, patch embroidery and sumptuous train, it offered the kind of showstopping style that you usually see during European Film Festivals.

Everything about this screams queen, from her braided crown (styled by Larry Sims), to her silver Gucci sandals. It looks even better on video.

She completed her look with lion head earrings in 18kt white gold and aquamarine, a tiger head ring in 18kt white gold, rubies and diamonds and an Ouroboros ring in 18k white gold and diamonds.

This blows me away in the same way Nicole Kidman did in her 2017 SAG Awards Gucci gown.
