‘The Other Lamb’ San Sebastian Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

'The Other Lamb' San Sebastian Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Girl power was taking over San Sebastian International Film Festival on Sunday (September 22), as Raffey Cassidy, director Malgorzata Szumowska and Denise Gough stepped out to promote ‘The Other Lamb’ at the photocall and premiere in Spain.

Raffey Cassidy: There is a lot going on with the Paco Rabanne Fall 2019 outfit, and you are probably confused as to why you love it as much I do.  The beauty is in the madness of it all.  Leopard print, velvet floral and pink satin accented with crystal?  Don’t ask me how.  It just does.

Malgorzata Szumowska: The Polish director perhaps didn’t want to outshine her two stars, taking a simple approach in an all black tailored look.  Or perhaps this is her go-to style.

Denise Gough:  We’ve seen Denise before, and we know that the Irish actress loves to take risks, so I wasn’t surprised by her in this colourful marble Mary Katrantzou Fall 2019 design which is heightened by the sharp pleats.

Raffey Cassidy: After such a bold start, the young actress opted for a Giamba Resort 2020 dress which was majestic with its high neck design, delicate ruffles and detailed jacquard body.

Malgorzata Szumowska: The director opted for black once again.  I adore the sensual top half, but I do wish this dress was longer.  At least calf or ankle length.

Denise Gough:  I was a little disappointed by Denise in this nude Emilia Wickstead  ‘Jordin’ dress.  Mostly because her style a lot more creative than this.  Secondly, this dress has been done a few times before.  Mandy Moore wore the same dress earlier this year, while Kate Middleton wore a similar version.   However, it seemed the theme of the night was “less is more,” so taking that into consideration, this was perhaps the right fit for the event.

I love all three of the looks for the photocall. All so cool and different. The premiere was a let down in comparison.

I love Denises Mary Katrantzou look most. Its very well put together. Such a lovely dress.
Raffeys mix and match first look is awful to my eyes.

Yep, Małgorzata is pretty laid-back and cool, a bit like Charlotte Gainsbourg maybe. Nice to see her here 🙂

I’m really not enthused by Rafferty’s outfit, each pieces belongs in a separate outfit. I’m even less after seeing that’s it ripped from the runway. I like Malgorzata’s and Denise’s photocall outfits but everyone got boring at the premiere which is a shame.

Małgorzata Szumowska has this “no fuss” kind of style, which I personally like. And I have to agree with your opinion about the second look – this dress should be longer.
Still I like all the looks from the second picture. But my fav is Denise in Mary Katrantzou. Love the summery vibe and the colours.

Regardless of the outfits, the composition of the first picture is outstanding. Very talented photographer.
