Raffey Cassidy In Louis Vuitton – ‘Vox Lux’ LA Premiere

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature the Raffey Cassidy In Louis Vuitton - 'Vox Lux' LA Premiere

Raffey Cassidy continued the ‘Vox Lux’ promo circuit at the film’s LA premiere on Wednesday (December 5).

While I will make no argument against her skipping the patterned tights and lug-sole shoes from the Louis Vuitton Resort 2019 runway, I wasn’t quite sold on the white go-go boots she replaced them with.

That said, I can kind of see that she perhaps chose the signature booties on behalf of the retro, ditzy-floral skirt. But, they still drew a lot of attention downwards — and away from the richer, rosier tones of the look.

Although, some of you may be applauding such a thing as the oversized, blouson top is likely a Marmite element, too.

Front Row @ Miu Miu Spring 2019

Miu Miu Spring2019

As this was the Miu Miu Spring 2019 presentation during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday (October 2), all the quirky front-row looks were present and accounted for.

Bruna Marquezine: The magpie in me was salivating over the embellishment in the Brazilian actress-model’s dazzling frock that walked the line between sweet and sassy. I love the deep royal-blue hue, too.

Juliette Lewis: I’m glad Juliette carried the winter-white coat to add a layer of sophisticated structure to the fun of this feather-bottom dress.

Olivia Palermo: If your eyes aren’t on sensory overload as a result of the leopard print, neon florals, and plaid, then I commend you. No wonder Olivia had to wear sunglasses.

Raffey Cassidy In Louis Vuitton & Oscar de la Renta – ‘Vox Lux’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Raffey Cassidy In Louis Vuitton & Oscar de la Renta - ‘Vox Lux’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Raffey Cassidy joined co-star Stacy Martin and Natalie Portman for the ‘Vox Lux’ photocall and premiere during Venice Film Festival on Tuesday (September 4).

Photocall: This was quite a cool Louis Vuitton Resort 2019 look, but I just can’t get past those sneakers. I know “ugly” sneakers are all the rage right now, but consider me not a fan.

Premiere: When it came to her red carpet look, there was nothing ugly about it. Doing a 180 from the photocall, going from fashion-forward, to Disney princess, the English actress’ fairytale moment came courtesy of Oscar de la Renta. A dreamy polka dot confection in pale blue, this floor-sweeping gown brought ethereal beauty this event which was dominated by sparkling sequins.

Raffey Cassidy In Burberry – ‘Killing Of A Sacred Deer’ London Film Festival Premiere

Joining Nicole Kidman and Emma Stone at the London Film Festival premiere of ‘Killing Of A Sacred Deer,’ Raffey Cassidy was also on the red carpet on Thursday evening (October 12).

While Nicole went for the height of glamour, the young starlet took a slightly more casual approach like Emma.

Yet, I liked the undeniable chicness of this Burberry frock, which was visually engaging with its graphic patterning.

This might be one of the best versions of the sock-bootie trend I’ve seen, as this pair Burberry District shoes were an effortless finish to the mod look.

Front Row @ Louis Vuitton Spring 2018

Many of the same stars who were at the opening of the Louis Vuitton boutique were seated front row at the Louis Vuitton Spring 2018 show the next day on Tuesday (October 3) during Paris Fashion Week. So, you will be excused if you’re already experiencing a certain kind of déjà vu.

Here, the lineup of the LV looks—take two—from the brand’s biggest fans.

Cate Blanchett: I had a slightly easier time embracing this directional look from Cate, as opposed to her more disjointed offering the day before. Perhaps some elements still seemed a bit forced, but no one can say this wasn’t a mullet-esque look—warrior-chic on the top, and business on the bottom.

Julianne Moore: Stepping away from the colour black, the actress was radiant in this rich, jade-green dress that had its own party happening at the back with the long fringe detail.

Alicia Vikander: Yet again, Alicia’s effortlessly chic look took top billing. In this case, it was her accessories—the handbag and booties, in particular—that really elevated this all-black ensemble.

Toronto Film Festival Red Carpet Roundup

The 2017 Toronto Film Festival red carpet has been red-haute with looks throughout the weekend, and here is a roundup of the rest of the stars that were seen on Sunday (September 10).

Margaret Qualley: The young starlet was at the ‘Novitate’ premiere dressed in a Valentino Fall 2017 gown. This ornate look translated a bit heavily for me, but it’s intriguing to watch Margaret continue to boldly experiment with her style.

Evan Rachel Wood: I absolutely loved this Stella McCartney Resort 2018 pinstripe ensemble on the actress at the ‘A Worthy Companion’ premiere. Riffing on menswear, the look perfectly played into her edgy style sensibility while providing a different take on the suiting trend with its play on proportions. Her makeup seemed a bit overzealous, but that would be my main qualm. Giuseppe Zanotti shoes completed her look.

Elisabeth Moss: After a few recent looks that successfully pushed the boundaries of Elisabeth’s go-to style, she was back in her comfort zone at ‘The Square’ premiere with this Rochas retro-inspired jumper and skirt accessorised with Chloe Gosselin embellished pumps.
