Isabelle Huppert In Christian Dior Haute Couture – ‘Frankie’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Isabelle Huppert In Christian Dior Haute Couture - 'Frankie' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

You can always rely on a graceful entrance by Isabelle Huppert on the red carpet, and that is exactly what she gave us for the ‘Frankie’ premiere during the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival held at Princess of Wales Theatre on Wednesday (September 11) in Canada.

This wrap style look from Christian Dior’s Fall 2019 Haute Couture collection looks like it would only work on someone very tall like Tilda Swinton.

It was actually on my wish list for Tilda, until I realised that this look was triggering my memory for her Haider Ackermann, ‘The Dead Don’t Die’ Cannes Film Festival premiere dress.

The look feels quite edgy for Dior in a Rick Owens kind way, but I strongly feel that Isabelle has enough kudos to pull this off.

I’m just wondering if she needed a low bun to perfect this look.

Thoughts?

Oh no, this not good at all. This looks like a funeral shroud and Isabelle looks a bit mummified. All in all, I find this a bit creepy. Same thing on the model.

I love the dress but not on her. I really do think it needed height. Tilda would of been perfect in it. It also def needed her hair back.
    She’s just not selling it.

I also love it on Isabelle. I think she totally pulls it off.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen her with her hair up but I have really been following her style on here. With her colouring and demeanor she adds and mystique and intrigue to the look.

The dress is beautiful on the model. Isabelle is too short.

The draped bodice seems too snug against the sleeves and the saree like bottom half. Meant for a taller person.

I can see it on Jessica Chastain. She is tall, curvy and a redhead. It would have been the perfect combination imho.

Never would have thought that, brilliant choice

      Thank you. ?

1m63 is hardly tall … only 3cms more than Isabelle.

Maybe but she’d fill up the skirt part more. Isabelle is drowning in it!

I love this on Isabelle. I think it makes her look taller as the skirt was appropriately tailored and I love her hair down with the top.

    Horrible

I really love this. So much drama!

The proportions are off. A bun might have helped but FC is right, it needed a taller wearer.
