Keira Knightley Attends The Chanel Mademoiselle Privé Exhibition

Keira Knightley Attends The Chanel Mademoiselle Privé Exhibition

Keira Knightley joined Julianne Moore in Shanghai, China on Thursday (April 18), for the Chanel Mademoiselle Privé exhibition.

I feel like I am almost committing blasphemy for saying that I’m not crazy about Keira in this Chanel Fall 2019 look, but I’d be lying if I said I did.

Chanel Fall 2019

There is a lot of romance here, I won’t deny that, but this look pales into comparison when you consider her  ‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms ‘ London premiere look.

If I was lining this look up against her promo tour for ‘The Aftermath,’ I think there’s a clear trend.

I’ll guess we’ll know for sure in a couple of months.

Like Julianne, her second Chanel look took a less is more approach in a Chanel LBD.

    A pregnancy look.

I usually access this site via the daily email. If you do that, there is no “read more”. However, every time a site or piece of software makes a change, there are those who don’t like it. And every time, users get accustomed to the changes. It is inevitable. If you don’t like it, sign up for the email or don’t use the website!

Seeing a full length of the second look and i think there is definitely a second baby on the way! The second look is also much nicer than the first, i do like the first but I have much higher expectations for Keira! Looking forward to seeing her maternity style again – I quite liked the first run!!

She should stop wearing those shapeless nightgown-looking dresses to formal events, really.

  5. Guest April 19, 2019 at 7:28 pm #

Definitely on babywatch looking at this. While we can only see the top half of the black look it feels very chic and much better than the other one.

  6. CharlotteLG April 19, 2019 at 7:09 pm #

This is awful and not very a good way to hide a pregnancy.

  7. Phee phee April 19, 2019 at 5:46 pm #

nope. Its a nightie and shapeless.
And her hairstyle/lack of, annoys me to no end.

  8. Guest April 19, 2019 at 5:39 pm #

    What a fancy nightie?

Sorry to say, but i find it so annoying that i now have to click “read more” to see the entire article. It really prevents me from even visiting the site. Any others that feel the same?

    • Guest April 19, 2019 at 8:25 pm #

Yes! Not sure if there’s is good reason for it. But it is irritating.

Please can you send me a list of the other sites you frequent. I’m curious to see out of that list how many have the full article displayed.

i have said a few times in the comments that the changes are to ensure the website stays online. To improve its growth and revenue.

Pictures cost money, the sever costs money, the internet costs money, and like anyone who works, I need to pay myself too.

in the last 10 years all those costs have gone up excluding my salary. In fact the first year back I took a pay cut putting the site first.

i know these things don’t matter to you, but they matter to me.

if you don’t want to ensure the sites longevity, that is entirely up to you.

Have a great Easter ? weekend.

I love your blog and I am sure lot of other people do too.The comment sounded like a feedback and not an attack on your work.

This was the text displayed for this post,’Keira Knightley joined Julianne Moore in Shanghai, China on Thursday (April 18), for the Chanel Mademoiselle Privé exhibition. I feel like I am almost committing blasphemy for saying that I’m not crazy about Keira in this Chanel Fall 2019 look, but I’d…”

Here, the first sentence,’Keira Knightley joined Julianne Moore in Shanghai, China on Thursday (April 18), for the Chanel Mademoiselle Privé exhibition.’ adds no information other than what is already provided in the title of the post.

I am here to know your thoughts, which is,” I feel like I am almost committing blasphemy for saying that I’m not crazy about Keira in this Chanel Fall 2019 look, but I’d…” cut off by read me link. I am here to read your views and opinions on fashion and my suggestion is, since, it is your blog, make your thoughts more accessible.

how about structuring your post that follows the pattern of:
      1: your views(max words)
2: more info on label, year
      3: event info

Again, you are doing a fantastic job and I am so glad you are back. Happy Easter and happy weekend to you too!

Hi Dee, I truly believe it wasn’t an attack. If my reply came across as defensive I apologise. I’m just genuinely interested in the initial question. And I explained the changes in a simple way as I have addressed this several times.

The site was upgraded. The read more is automatic. I believe it inserts after a number of words.

I wish the site could live off good faith alone, but it can’t.

Read more isn’t new. It’s new here.

Im genuinely disappointed that 10 years of work, blood, sweat and plenty of tears has come down to two simple words. Read More…

      Have a great Easter

Since Instagram became so big a lot of sites have struggled to make revenue since people dont engage and are used to scroll and getting everything without clicking and commenting, so a lot of sites make their money by interactions not only visits. I’m sure Catherine would love to put the brand info in the first line but very few people would engage and click on posts so I’m sure the change is to encourage people to do it and help to fund the site.

After seeing how many sites talked about this blog shutting down back in 2016 it really showed me how many people visit this site but don’t interact here or credit it as source. People who might profit from the work of very often just one person. So it really seems to me rather ungratelful to complain about the herculean task of clicking “read more”. Especially when in some posts people are complaining about the quality or quantity of pictures that arent free to begin with. This site might seem like a hobby for some people but I’m sure it takes a lot of work and certain amount money to put it together.

I remember a time when the only way to call someone was to use a rotary phone. If the channel on the television had to be changed one would have to stand up and walk over to the tv because there was no remote or before power windows one would have to manually crank the window using their arm.

Now people are complaining that they have to ‘click’ to read more. The need for instant gratification is disturbing.

Think of all of the things they could be doing with their lives if they hadn’t wasted time clicking on that link. (massive eye-roll)

As a wise man once said …you can’t please all of the people all of the time.

    • Guest April 21, 2019 at 12:43 pm #

Constructive input! Maybe worth a try?

    • Guest April 21, 2019 at 2:37 pm #

      Dear F.C.,
I, and a thousand more girls, would click “read more” just to hear what you have to say.
That time in 2016, when you were gone, I tried to find someone who critiques like you did, and all I got was a bunch of sites naming the designer. You have spoilt me. Don’t let the whiners make you think that all the years of hardwork, and bringing to us the best take on fashion, have been reduced to “read more”

Sending you lots of love from India!
      xx

I am truly surprised that having to click on read more is so annoying that it prevents visiting the site. I go to two other fashion blogs each day and both of them are set up so one has to click on a read more link or the headline to read anything beyond the headline. Here if you click read more once and then go through posts by going to the previous post or next post, you do not have to click read more again. Really, this is not a big deal and if it helps keep the site going, I am all for clicking. I missed this site tremendously when it was gone.

    • mokka__ April 24, 2019 at 8:52 am #

People don’t realize that ads pay salaries in media. Brands pay for clicks and impressions, and if you want to support a blog, a website or whatever, you’ll need those impressions.

Just because we come here and find information for free doesn’t mean it’s free for you to give it. Keep up the good work, Catherine 🙂

    • Guest April 24, 2019 at 3:25 pm #

I find the “read more” pretty annoying…but it doesn’t stop me from visiting. It might stop me from looking at a celebrity or a look that I’m less interested in, though. I could imagine that if people understood that it’s a revenue generator and helps maintain the quality of the site, they would see it differently? (at least I think that helped me).

    • Guest April 25, 2019 at 11:51 am #

      My two cents:
Show the red carpet and runway looks side by side without necessitating a click.

Dear Weiss. Thanks a lot for this comment. I really appreciate it. You have perfectly described the issues that online publishers like myself are facing. You nailed every point perfectly.

    • Red Carpet Fashion Awards May 11, 2019 at 10:48 am #

      Yes…thank you. Love the analogies.

    • Red Carpet Fashion Awards May 11, 2019 at 10:50 am #

Thank you. I’m glad the read more hasn’t deterred you either x

    • Red Carpet Fashion Awards May 11, 2019 at 10:51 am #

Yes, hard facts, the clicks pay for the site. I’m surprised this continues to surprise people.

  10. Guest April 19, 2019 at 4:53 pm #

Looks like an old fashioned nightgown/peignor set. And on top of that, an old nightgown that makes her look wide. This is a big no.

    • Guest April 19, 2019 at 4:54 pm #

      The second look is classic.

  11. Guest April 19, 2019 at 4:51 pm #

She’s pregnant or her stylist doesn’t like her.
I’m more “bothered” by her hair and makeup tbh.

  12. Guest April 19, 2019 at 4:43 pm #

    I think she’s pregnant again!
