Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Mulberry & Jenny Packham – Cinemagic Visit

Catherine Duchess of Cambridge In Mulberry & Jenny Packham - Cinemagic Visit

Earlier today (February 27), on day two of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit to Northern Ireland, the couple visited the charity Cinemagic, where Catherine wore another lust-worthy coat.

Looking fresh, despite the late night, the Duchess rocked a retro style, baby blue coat from Mulberry’s Fall 2018 collection, featuring a chic belted waist that felt very Mary Poppins-esqe thanks to the cape detail.

Catherine chose to wear her statement coat with simple accessories: a navy Jimmy Choo ‘Celeste’ box clutch (a celebrity favourite) and Rupert Sanderson ‘Malory’ navy blue suede pumps.

Is strange that this my favourite look of the three? More so than the Missoni dress?

Maybe not so weird as I’ve always been as sucker for a cape.

What did she wear under her dress?

A Jenny Packham dress in deeper blue hue.

At first I thought this was a re-run of the Jenny Packham dress worn to the Imperial War Museum back in October, but despite the similarity in colour and pencil design, it’s a totally different dress.

Knee/thigh high boots would have really elevated the whole look. Would have loved to see the coat open with the dress underneath too.
Can’t fault the fit and that she carries it all very well. Blue is really her colour.

Love the dress! Gorgeous colour, modern and she looks great.

I wish the coat was a little less fit and flare so that it would more modern too, but it’s a fabulous colour and a good change of pace for her nevertheless.

I love the coat, the right boots would have elevated the look but the pumps are fine.

As for the dress, Kate knows what works for her and sticks to classics. She looks great.

I like the coat on the model but somehow on the Duchess, it looks super dated, Mary Poppinsesque but not in a good way. It’s probably because the model is wearing modern accessories and Catherine is not. However, she looks great in the dress.

+2 the sleeves are nice but it feels like she turns everything into a fit and flare which dates the look.

On the model it looks like it feature on a fashion week street style blog/feature. On Catherine it feels so home counties safe. I mean she always looks nice but in need of a freshening styling wise.

This is my main problem with her. A lot of her dresses/coats are great on the model but on her, 90 percent of the time it looks old or dated.
